They’re here!!!

This is Greg and I am making my blogging debut. OK, this is going to be short but very, very sweet. Stef started having contractions last night, so we called the doctor and made our way over to the hospital. By about 2:00 am, it was pretty obvious that these babies were just aching to make an appearance. We got prepped for the C-section and by 3:23 all three of our little cherubs were out in the real world.

Questions people are going as:

1) How is Stef doing?      Stef has been amazing through this entire process. The C-section went off with out a hitch, and I believe I heard my beautiful bride utter the phrase, “that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.” Stef is busy recovering and getting ready to care for our girls.

2) How big were each of the girls?         Alexandra Marie measured 17 inches and weighed in at 4 pounds 13 ounces. Lucy Ann was 18.5 inches long, and was our lightest baby at 4 pounds 6 ounces. Nora Jane is the chunker of the group, measuring 18.5 inches and weighing in at a whopping 5 pounds 1 ounce. Needless to say, we are thrilled about the weights and sizes of all three.

3) When will everyone be coming home?        Stef is quite a healer, and the doctor thinks we should be going home in 2-3 days. Although the girls are all doing well, it looks like they will need to spend around a week in the NICU. They are all breathing pretty well, and feedings are underway. Hopefully, a week isn’t too far out of the question.

Alright, well I’m going to go spend some time with my girls and then take a medium to large nap. Thank you all for your support and prayers. Stefanie and I have certainly felt the power of  prayers surrounding us throughout all of this. I will leave you with a couple of pictures of the newest Jansens.

Lucy had a bit of trouble breathing at first, but she is improving quickly. Cute as a button, though!

So cute. There’s nothing else that needs to be said.
